Car and Home Shot in Newton - Newton PD Arrest Suspect

Monday night shots rang out on New Ireland Street in Newton, witnesses tell me a red car rounded the corner with long guns firing. A car and a mobile home was struck several times with gunfire. Several calls were placed to 911 with Newton PD responding to the call.

Chief Randy Patrick's patrol car was hit by the suspects car in the pursuit. Chief Patrick said Donovan Cortez Gray was taken into custody without incident and is a suspect in the shooting. A weapon and shell casings were recovered at the scene.
